Pass Plus is a six-module training syllabus
Pass Plus is a six-module training syllabus designed by DSA to develop the skills and knowledge of newly qualified drivers and broaden their driving experience, each part lasts an hour.
New drivers are more likely to have an accident in their first two years of driving than at any other time in their driving career. In the first year of driving, one in five drivers is involved in an accident. This is mainly due to a lack of driving experience, and this is where Pass Plus comes in!
- Driving in town
- Driving in all weathers
- Driving on rural roads
- Driving at night
- Driving on dual carriageways
- Driving on motorways
You will be required to show a good standard of driving in all the above areas, with improved observation, care, courtesy and consideration for other road users and the ability to anticipate hazards and take the necessary action.
There is no test at the end. Your instructor will sign off your training form and send it to the DSA, who will then issue you with a Pass Plus Certificate of Completion.
When you have successfully completed Pass Plus you will usually qualify for a discount on your motor insurance policy. See the Pass Plus site for Insurers involved.
